Housewarming Gift Baskets

A housewarming gift basket can be a lot of fun to give and to receive.  Pulling several things together in a basket or a tote is an easy way to give several little things.  Be creative with the basket idea a gift basket doesn’t necessarily need to be a basket things could be presented in a tote, a laundry basket, a canvas bag, or even a bucket the possibilities are limitless! Here are a few housewarming gift basket ideas.

A garden basket.  This can contain seed packets, a few potted plants and planter, fertilizer, a trowel and dandelion digger, and a pair of gardening gloves.

A basket of tools.  This basket can really come in handy with a new house and the minor repairs that come along with it.  Having a screw driver, hammer, nails, and some wrenches handy when you move in to a new home can be helpful.

Painting supplies.  Most people choose to do a fresh painting job on some area of their new home.  A basket could include a drop cloth, painters tape, paint brushes, rollers, handle and rolling pan.

Walling hanging basket.  The new home owners will want to get their pictures on the walls to make it feel a little more like home.  A basket with brads, nails, picture hooks, a small level and a small hammer maybe even a frame will help them get the job done more quickly.

A bathroom basket.  If you know how many bathrooms the new house has you can purchase some nice smelling or organic soaps either bar soap or soap in a dispenser for each bathroom.  You could put these in a small basket with a few neutral hand towels.

A cleaning kit.  Purchase a few cleaning supplies along with lint-free micro-fiber clothes and place it all in a bucket with a ribbon tied on the handle.
